the story
Sustainable Brands is home to the global community of business innovators who are shaping the future of commerce worldwide. Since 2006, their goal has been to inspire, engage and equip today’s business and brand leaders to prosper in the near and long term by leading the way to a sustainably abundant future.
the role
• Managed the team’s organization, communication, activities, and documentation. Which lead us to a successful delivery of a product within a shorter development period than the rest of the teams.
• We wowed our clients and they wanted to make sure we were recognized at their conference. Our team also got chosen to present the product for the Centre for Digital Media showcase to be seen by industry leaders.
• I also lead the design team with storyboarding, wire-framing, user- testing and storytelling for the application. As well as teaching them the fundamentals of HTML and CSS and how it would be applied to our web page that I created.
the brief
Sustainable Brands is looking to enhance their attendee’s conference experience. They have an app for their conference however it lacks engaging interactions for their attendees. This is the pain point for most conferences because engaging attendees to interact with each other and to build lasting relationships can be daunting. So, our job was to create a product that would tackle this problem.
the outcome
We made an e-business card extension called “Mesh” on their current application. Their attendees can now connect with one another using the extension which then projects their connection live on a screen as a data visualization.
The goal of this application and visualization is to make it easier to gather contacts for attendees and the visualization can help start conversations at the conference. The visualization is also a useful tool for Sustainable Brands to keep track of how many connections were made at their conference.
