about me
Nice to meet you! My name is Sherlaine or Laine for short.
I am from beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia where I began my journey of building technology products. Currently, I have been working with my team on a pitch-project where we have been experimenting to see if e-commerce in mixed reality is viable. I have also been improving my technical skills by doing a 10-week web development boot camp at Lighthouse Labs.
Previously, I project managed a team to deliver a networking app for a 3000+ attendee conference.
I started my digital media career by working in web development at Atira, a non-profit organization supporting women. Then I became a project manager at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, to work for the Strategic Communications, Branding and Public Affairs department. The role was responsible for helping to coordinate the day-to-day project operations of the team, reviewing all projects for brand and design consistency, assisting in content creation, and suggesting project improvements.
During my time away from the desk I enjoy practicing yoga – spoken like a true Vancouverite! And to laugh the week away, I enjoy creating mini-sewing projects or doing paint nights with friends.
